Role Purpose

To assist the Momentum Investments: Retail division (and other divisions within MML when necessary) with providing legal advice and opinions, product development advice and affiliated legal services relating to Long term insurance, Investments, Retirement Funds, Governance and other general legal services.

Requirements
  • LLB degree
  • Admitted attorney (an advantage).
  • Interest in financial services industry, specifically long-term insurance, retirement and associated products. ,,,
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with legal functions relating to retail products and retirement fund governance.
  • Keeping abreast of legislative developments.
  • Reviewing, interpreting and implementing relevant legislation in collaboration with the Compliance Team.
  • Legal research on pertinent issues that impact on the MML business.
  • Drafting of responses to disputes.
  • Drafting of legal updates on industry topics.
  • General Corporate Governance issues.
