Booysendal Platinum Is situated on the border of the Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces near

the towns of Mashishing (Lydenburg), Roossenekal and Steelpoort. The mine is located on the southernmost exposure of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex with eighty percent of its resources in the Mpumalanga Province, The Mine has a board and pillar mining layout and operates with trackless mechanised mining equipment. Booysendal is a subsidiary of the JSE-

listed Northam Platinum Limited, a well-established, mid-tier independent and Integrated platinum

group metals producer with a strong tradition of innovation and technical expertise in the sector.

BOOYSENDAL CENTRAL SERVICES

Role wrequirements:

The successful candidate must have the following basic requirements:

• Grade 12 with 
• Maths and Science
• Degree in Geology
• Medical certificate of fitness
• Three (3) years’ relevant mining
• mining geology experience
• Computer literate with sound knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in geological modelling software
• Microstation and Surpac will be advantageous,

Key performance areas:

• Implement geology standards
• Identify underground geological anomalies
• Schedule observation in line with production requirements
• Schedule and monitor underground core recovery drilling
• Interpret and analyse geological information for prediction of geological structures
• Validate all data and derived results Prepare geology plans, maps, layouts and reports
• Provide effective geology services to mining
• Planned task observations and visible felt leadership engagements
• Regular risks assessment for the areas under his or her responsibility.

ELECTRICIAN

Role requirements:

The successful candidate must have the following basic requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4
• Certified competent as an Electrician – Section 13 / 26 (D)
• English language proficiency
• Driver’s license – Code B, EB or C1
• Medium Voltage Competency skills (certificate)
• Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Comfortable working in confined spaces
• Not colour blind
• No major sensory restrictions
• Must be familiar with risk assessment procedures
• Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience as a qualified artisan in a trackless mining environment.

Key performance areas:

• Electrical equipment maintenance and installation
• Support the achievement of production performance levels
• Ensure that safety regulations are adhered to

Important to note:

• The Incumbent will be required to work standby, overtime and shifts
• Must have own transport.
